Crash involving motorcycle and ATV under investigation

Police in Louisiana are currently in the process of investigating a motor vehicle accident that recently occurred in Brusly. The crash is said to have involved a motorcycle and an ATV. The current conditions of the drivers are unknown.

According to reports, on Saturday, June 13, a motorcycle and ATV were both traveling on LA 1 when they collided. Pictures of the accident scene show significant damage to both vehicles. Authorities have not released any information about the drivers. First responders were called to the scene, but it is unclear if one or both drivers were injured or if either was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

As this case is still under investigation, the cause of the crash has not yet been identified or at least not reported. The Brusly Police Department did put out a statement, though, regarding the use of ATVs on public roads. They simply said operating these vehicles on public highways is illegal, and they will work diligently to enforce this particular traffic law. They did not say if any criminal charges are pending in this particular case.

As it currently stands, there seem to be a lot of questions about this crash with few answers available. What is clear, however, is that, according to Louisiana law, the ATV driver was operating his or her vehicle in a place he or she should not have been. As such, this individual or the owner of the ATV, if different, may be held responsible for any losses experienced by the motorcycle rider, whether physical, financial or emotional.
